Mitsubishi Motors Named "Official Vehicle Partner" for Upcoming The Color Run Night™ in Philadelphia

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) has been named "The Official Vehicle Partner" of the upcoming "The Color Run Night™" event in Philadelphia on Saturday, October 18, 2014.
The Color Run is an untimed 5-kilometer paint race in which thousands of participants known as "color runners" begin the run wearing all-white clothing at the start line and are doused from head-to-toe in a variety of colors at each passing kilometer marker, culminating the event covered in color for a Finish Festival which includes food, live music and dancing.
The commitment Mitsubishi Motors' has as the Official Vehicle Partner in the first The Color Run Night 5k event includes:

• Providing a customized and performance-tuned version of the Mitsubishi Outlander 7-passenger crossover as the Official Pace Car, leading the color runners with flashing lights at the start of the race

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today showed the much-anticipated production model of the all-new 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and the 2017 Mirage G4 subcompact sedan at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. Both vehicles are new models to the Mitsubishi product lineup and are important to the brand's growth plans in North America.

Featuring a highly efficient 2.0-liter gasoline engine and two high-performance electric motors that drive Mitsubishi's superior Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is a very capable PHEV with go anywhere capability. NISSAN AND MITSUBISHI MOTORS FORGE STRATEGIC ALLIANCE

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., ("Nissan"), and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, ("MMC") announced that they have signed a Basic Agreement today to form a far-reaching strategic alliance between the two Japanese automakers.

Following an MMC share issue, Nissan will take a 34% equity stake in MMC for 237 billion yen.

The strategic alliance will extend an existing partnership between Nissan and MMC, under which the two companies have jointly collaborated for the past five years.

Nissan and MMC have agreed to cooperate in areas including purchasing, common vehicle platforms, technology-sharing, joint plant utilization and growth markets.

Mitsubishi's First 2016 Lancer EVO Final Edition #0001 Auctioned On Ebay

Mitsubishi's North American arm will auction the first Lancer Evolution Final Edition, which will be the last of the series. Number 1 of the 1,600 produced for the U.S. market will go under the hammer with proceeds benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 

The automaker started the online auction for the performance model 10 days in advance, on November 11, and will end it on November 21, at the MS Dinner Auction at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in Coronado. Those interested in the #1 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer Final Evolution can place their bids on eBay, where the car has a price of $37,201.05, at the time of writing. 

The high-performance sedan is the last hurrah for the current model, at least in the four-door body style, as Mitsubishi chairman and CEO, Osamu Masuko, confirmed last month. However, the company’s official admitted that the “Evo” name might appear on a high-performance SUV.

The Lancer Evo Final Edition is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder DOHC turbocharged and intercooled engine, producing 303 HP (307 PS) and 305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque. Each car gets some visual tweaks and a plaque keeping track of its factory number. On the U.S. market, prices have been set at $37,995, excluding destination.
